DailyRoto Fantasy Golf: AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am DraftKings Strategy

February 7, 2017

On this edition of the DailyRoto Fantasy Golf Podcast, Leone, Drewby, and Albatross break down the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am. We cover the event structure (3 courses, cut after 3 rounds), how the courses will play (lots of approach shots from 100-150 yards out on three shorter courses), and what your cash game roster construction should look like on DraftKings.

Speaking of which, we recap last week’s experimental pricing on DK and how that altered strategy and ownership. The Albatross combination of spread the risk and eliminating unskilled golfers was very successful with last week’s setup, and we revisit the strategy for this week.

If paying up for a golfer, Drewby and Leone like Jordan Spieth (great tee to green recently, watch out for him when that putter gets hot!) but discuss the merits of Dustin Johnson and Jason Day as well. However, a balanced roster construction means an emphasis on value plays and you’ll hear the group’s favorites, such as Jim Furyk.

Finally, Leone begrudgingly pays up on a lost Super Bowl bet to Drewby, and the two live draft their shared entry into this week’s $333 GPP on DraftKings.
